Kodenkan of Tucson has been a Tucson tradition since 1961.

Most of the styles that are taught originated in Japan but came to the U.S. by way of Hawaii, through the teachings of Professor Henry S. Okazaki. Professor Okazaki was the first Japanese martial artist to teach the martial arts to non-Japanese students, regardless of race or gender.

The Kodenkan of Tucson teaches a wide variety of traditional and modern martial arts styles including Karate, Jujitsu, Judo, Kung Fu, Batto-do (Japanese Sword), Hiraido (Mixed Martial Arts/MMA) and Lil’Dragons. With classes for children, teens, adults, and seniors, we have something for just about every member of the family!

We are very fortunate to have over 21 dedicated black belt instructors who have a total of over 268 years of combined martial arts experience. With their many years of knowledge and training, they truly enjoy passing on the knowledge that has been taught to them.

Start sitting, draw and fire at close range. You're headed to cover then moving again

Oh did I forget to mention you have a wounded friend that you need to attend to also?
Get him to cover, attend to wounds and keep engaging targets
